Just as we saw Gourmet utilize various animal prints in their Spring/Summer 2013 Women’s Footwear Collection, Stussy also looked at animals for inspiration for this Wildlife Collection. Created for the urban jungle, the iconic Stussy graphics – Stussy No. 4, SS Link, and Stussy Logo – are revamped using the custom designed Wildlife artwork. The Wildlife Shirt is the only piece that features the original illustration in its entirety, a reinterpretation of the wilderness and animals in an abstract drawing. This shirt will be available later this month, but the rest of the items are currently in stock at select Stussy outlets and Stussy Japan online store.

Building upon its extensive line of collaborative sneaker releases, Italian retailer Slam Jam realigns with Converse to present the First String Jack Purcell. Built with premium materials to offer a comfortable, yet durable summer model, this joint effort features a dark navy water-repellent canvas upper as well as a flexible white rubber sole and red accents. Special details include a medial side snap closure and embroidered tongues that read “Summer” “Journey” on the right and left sneaker respectively. Expect this Slam X Converse release to appear at select retailers on May 31.

Coming off yesterday’s announcement of the East Coast Project apparel component, Ronnie Fieg andASICS present the centerpiece of their latest collection, the Gel Lyte III “New York City and Miami Beach”.  Each pair features unique details with the NYC pair featuring  a perforated pigskin toebox and quarter panel with a soft nubuck quarter and heel counter while the Miami version combines a microperf nubuck with a woven mesh toebox and collar.

The official release date the pair is May 10th at KITH, but both pairs will be available early, along with the entire capsule collection, as part of a KITH pop-up shop in Miami on May 2nd.  Retail is for each model is set at $145 with each pair coming with with a pair of custom-created ‘New York City’ or ‘Miami Beach’ “Just Stance” ultralight cotton, super invisible socks with embroidered detailing and ultralight cushioning.  An additional set of flat laces and two sets of custom round laces that weave in the key colors of the given cities are also included.

The Miami pop-up will be divided into the two adjacent storefronts. The Miami side will be open from 11 am to 3 pm and the next door New York side will be open from 4 pm to 8 pm.

visvim‘s classic FBT boot is arriving this spring in a new AMDO-FOLK iteration that trades the trademark leather fringe for a fabric version. The unique moccasin hybrid features a blue suede upper with a white distressed fabric fringe running around the ankle collar. The fabric fringe features the painted “+” motif seen in some of visvim’s other offerings for the season and is attached to the shoe with blue suede ties. Nudie Jeans continues on a path of establishing itself as a major denim player through a new release that pairs organic Pima cotton with traditional Japanese shuttle looms and Italian manufacturing. While environmental footprint wasn’t at the top of the list, the Scandinavian brand looked to create one of its highest quality offering yet. At the heart of the 13.5 oz jean is the organic premium Pima cotton sourced from a small scale farm in New Mexico, USA. The streaky fabric comes courtesy of the long fibers of cotton with a selvage finish. A limited run of 480 pairs are each individually numbered and come in a commemorative box. The jeans will be available exclusively online and at concept stores worldwide

An NBA title is arguably the basketball equivalent of a platinum record in terms of achievement, and if Miami’s first round sweep is any indication, LBJ won’t stop laying down the jams anytime soon. Similarly distinguished is a new colorway for Nike‘s LeBron X, called the “Pure Platinum.” This psychedelic colorway comes beautifully adorned with gradient pink-to-blue colors running along the upper, offset by a brilliant white base. Meanwhile, the cushioned interior, the sole, and lace eyelets are colored with turquoise. The shoe is completed with black laces, as well as a colorful tongue tab featuring Lebron’s signature logo. No matter your team affiliation, hopefully you’ll appreciate the “Pure Platinum” ($180.00 USD) when it releases on May 4.

It snows a lot in the Northeast—especially in New Hampshire where Timberland has been located for the past 40 years. When you live in such hostile environments, you’re forced to make gear that is more about function than how cool you look. But inherently, everything rugged tends to have multiple levels of more badass. That’s why rappers such as A$AP Rocky have taken a strong liking to the outdoor apparel and footwear manufacturer.

We heard from Rocky and saw a sneak preview at the collaborative 40 Below boot between the rapper and Timberland, but now we have the first complete look. The Harlem native proudly carries the legacy of the artists who came before him, and with his adaptation of their go-to boot, he now builds upon their tradition—rhyme wise and sartorially. Still, the best part about this A$AP-branded boot is that you can imagine it equally on the bearded-New Englander or fly street kid. The wheat leather and thickly-padded collar make this boot as comfortable as it is tough. There’s still no word on a release date, but we’re sure more images and information will release.

Unlike the tried and true method of customizing leather or canvas sneakers, to personalize a pair Nike Roshe Run opens up a whole new set of challenges. From how the mesh upper will react the color palette to the altering the paint’s viscosity, not many have perfected the difficult task till JP Custom Kicks. With a plain pair of all-black Nike Roshe Run, JP Custom Kicks was able to somehow “wring out” a pair of Air Jordan III Black/Cement instead. Full of details, right down to the cement/elephant accents and mid-sole color blocking, but the most unique aspect of this custom is how proportion each design element is. Considering just how popular it is, this pair will quite likely be the first of many Roshe Run customs to come soon

The Roshe Run may be one of Nike‘s simplest silhouettes, but the popular lifestyle sneaker has released this year in a head-spinning variety of colors and forms. The latest in a flurry of Roshe drops comes in the form of the Nike Roshe Run Metric, a fragmented, geometric version of the minimalist shoe. With blacked-out uppers in a cracked, mosaic tile-like makeup, the Metric turns the Roshe Run’s simple lines into a finely detailed, almost futuristic pair of kicks. The rest of the silhouette is a little more familiar — a standard black sole complete with Nike’s much-loved Solarsoft cushioning, a setup that should provide the all-day comfort. Ronnie Fieg and Kith officially present its latest endeavor, The East Coast Project. Invading the sunny shores of Miami Beach, the concept plays host to a wealth of relationships and collaborative releases involving eight different entities: Play Cloths, Just Don, Golden Bear, Stance, Stampd, Herschel Supply Co. and Tina Catherine. A launch is set for the Kith pop-up on May 2 and will operate in an unorthodox manner where the adjacent store fronts will be open from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M (Miami side), and the adjacent open from 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. (New York site).
