Haroshi Feet Sculptures With Transparent Skate Shoes

HAROSHI Feet Sculpture with Transparent Skate Shoes

Tokyo-based artist Haroshi is known for his artwork featuring repurposed skate decks, but his latest creations use the multi-colored wood sculptures as something of a framing device for transparent skate shoes that anchor the individual pieces. The kicks are made up of a Nike Dunk, Vans Half Cab and Hufnagel Pro by HUF, while the wooden “feet” feature multi-color stripes in horizontal or vertical alignments, as well as a mosaic-like patchwork pattern. The works are displayed now through theJonathan LeVine Gallery at the SCOPE show at Art Basel 2012. via:AR
